How to have mono output by the player?

I was using this plugin: http://abz89.wordpress.com/2011/04/26/how-to-force-audacious-using-mono-output/
but now it don't compile.

Use the Channel Mixer plugin included with Audacious.

This only plays one channel, how to make an interpolation between both channels?

The channel mixer mixes (averages) the two channels. Not sure what else you're looking for.
