60,000 file MP3 library causing Audacious to freeze.

I have a Network shared folder with 60,000 MP3s. When I add the folder Audacious parses the entire folder, then once it is completed Audacious freezes. I think the database is overwhelmed. Is there a practical track limit for the playlist?
