No idea where it happens. Could it be console?
Audacious - Bug #1171 (Rejected): Bring Audacious to foreground on launchhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11712022-05-29T11:07:10ZArtem S. Tashkinov

This is a very annoying bug.

When you enable the systray plugin and exit Audacious when the application is minimized to the systray, next time you'll launch it, it will not show itself on the screen and start minimized to the systray right away.

Would be great to have an option to show the main application window when launching it or remain minimized in the systray for those who love it (e.g. use audacious via audtool).
Audacious - Bug #1149 (Closed): Do not automatically change the output plugin on error, stop play...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11492022-01-23T11:19:07ZArtem S. Tashkinov

This has been driving me insane recently.

I've got the only output device: my Bluetooth headphones, whenever I power them off, I have no output devices any longer. My default output plugin is set to Pulse Audio.

What happens when I try to play audio in this case is that Audacious chooses the next available output plugin automatically, it's FileWriter here, so I end up with dozens of written files on the disk which I do not want.

Please add an option to stick to the chosen output plugin and shut down playback completely in the case the output plugin throws an error.

Thank you.
Audacious - Feature #1096 (New): Calculate and show selection stats in the status barhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10962021-05-07T18:49:34ZArtem S. Tashkinov

It would be great if after selecting a few tracks in a playlist, Audacious would show the stats in the status bar, e.g.

Selected: N tracks, 12:34 duration

There's plenty of space for that.

Thank you!
Audacious - Feature #1091 (New): Built-in lyrics supporthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10912021-04-28T18:24:58ZArtem S. Tashkinov

Built-in lyrics is not standardized but there are several common tags which Audacious could read and present instead of fetching data online, e.g.

Common known tags include:

lyrics

UNSYNCEDLYRICS

Please implement.
Audacious - Bug #1086 (Rejected): Cannot play a flac online streamhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10862021-04-11T10:47:46ZArtem S. Tashkinov

It would be great to have a play list column which represent an audio codec type, e.g. MP3, Vorbis, AAC, FLAC, Opus, etc.
Audacious - Bug #564 (Rejected): Stream pausing is brokenhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/5642015-08-06T18:16:11ZArtem S. Tashkinov

This bug is actually ages old and even XMMS had it.

So, the problem is when you hit "pause" and then hit resume, then in some cases Audacious will resume the stream or switch to the next track in a playlist.

There are two ways to deal with this issue:

1) When the user hits "Pause" Auadacity will continue reading the stream to a buffer and then play it on resume. This is actually bad for many reasons: a) the user may leave his PC for hours or even days, and Audacity will consume all the RAM and crash consequently b) the user may expect no traffic in case of "Pause" and such a behaviour is irrational and detrimental.

2) So, the best way to resume the stream will be to reset it.
Audacious - Bug #188 (Rejected): Seeking using the GUI is broken in 3.2.4http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1882012-09-30T18:59:28ZArtem S. Tashkinov

In previous versions of Audacious you could click any part of the song progress/seek bar and Audacious would jump to this position.

In 3.2.4 it doesn't work - you have to drag a seek knot to a position you're interested in which is absolutely inconvenient.

Please, add back the removed functionality.
Audacious - Feature #176 (Rejected): Add "Window Restore" action for the Global Hotkey pluginhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1762012-09-16T13:08:00ZArtem S. Tashkinov

I often hide Audacious to the system tray and I want to restore Audacious' main window without moving mouse cursor to its systray icon.

(It would be nice to have this feature backported to Audacious GTK2 - some of us refuse to run/have GTK3 libraries and some distros simply don't have them).
Audacious - Bug #107 (Rejected): Audacious doesn't play online streams in FLAChttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1072012-05-06T23:42:43ZArtem S. Tashkinov

E.g. http://radio.cesnet.cz:8000/cro-d-dur.flac
Audacious - Feature #19 (Closed): Allow playlist columns to be resizedhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/192011-12-28T19:51:52ZArtem S. Tashkinov

Currently playlist columns cannot be resized.

Also it will be very nice to have a menu item called "Automatically Resize Playlist Columns" so that Auducaious automatically resized columns to match their contents. If the user decides to resize them, then this menu item should get unticked automatically.
Audacious - Feature #10 (Closed): Allow columns to be draggable to change their orderhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/102011-12-20T19:09:44ZArtem S. Tashkinov

That's it.
Audacious - Feature #7 (Rejected): A bunch of suggestions for Libraryhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/72011-12-20T19:05:50ZArtem S. Tashkinov

1. Make search bar permanently visible and place it between play buttons (Open, Add ...) and playback options buttons (repeat, shuffle, volume) - there's a lot of space for it, especially on modern wide screen displays (1920px width).

2. Make search work for all visible columns (e.g. I may want to see all songs from 2011, or all Classical songs, or songs containing the word "Love").

3. After the user enters a search query all playlist items not satisfying the search query should be automatically hidden, then - Ctrl+A -> Right Mouse click -> "Create a new playlist" out of these items. This will eliminate the need of the left column altogether.

4. On a first run Audacious should allow creating Library out of any number of user defined directories. File -> Library/Add Folder should show this dialog allowing the user to add/remove his favourite directories (see the attached screenshot).
