Redmine Audacious - Feature #1216 (New): Can't sort tracks in a playlist by bitratehttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/12162023-05-29T12:52:57ZArtem S. Tashkinov

The column title is not clickable :(
Audacious - Feature #1170 (New): Playback mode buttonhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11702022-04-22T16:01:30ZArtem S. Tashkinov

I've seen in it other media players and I really like this approach.

Instead of the following buttons:

[ ] Repeat playlist
[ ] Shuffle

We could have a single button with the following states:

[N] Normal, play consecutively
[1] Play one song and stop (so, there's no need to have an extra menu item "No playlist advance")
[∞] Repeat all
[∞1] Repeat one song
[s] Shuffle

If you don't like the idea, never mind. ;-)
Audacious - Bug #1149 (Closed): Do not automatically change the output plugin on error, stop play...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11492022-01-23T11:19:07ZArtem S. Tashkinov

This has been driving me insane recently.

I've got the only output device: my Bluetooth headphones, whenever I power them off, I have no output devices any longer. My default output plugin is set to Pulse Audio.

What happens when I try to play audio in this case is that Audacious chooses the next available output plugin automatically, it's FileWriter here, so I end up with dozens of written files on the disk which I do not want.

Please add an option to stick to the chosen output plugin and shut down playback completely in the case the output plugin throws an error.

Thank you.
Audacious - Feature #1098 (New): Hide empty Services playlist sub-menuhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10982021-05-08T11:29:08ZArtem S. Tashkinov

Maybe I've compiled Audacious incorrectly (GTK build), but upon right mouse click in my playlist I see a submenu "Services" with nothing under it.

Could we maybe hide it in this case?
Audacious - Feature #1097 (New): Replace the volume button with a horizontal scalehttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10972021-05-07T22:42:47ZArtem S. Tashkinov

Regulating internal volume in Audacios is quite cumbersome: first you need to click a small volume button, then navigate a very small vertical scale.

Please replace the button with a horizontal scale always visible on the screen.

Thank you!
Audacious - Feature #1096 (New): Calculate and show selection stats in the status barhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10962021-05-07T18:49:34ZArtem S. Tashkinov

It would be great if after selecting a few tracks in a playlist, Audacious would show the stats in the status bar, e.g.

Selected: N tracks, 12:34 duration

There's plenty of space for that.

Thank you!
Audacious - Feature #1095 (New): Ctrl + Z / R to undo / redo changes to playlisthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10952021-05-07T18:42:19ZArtem S. Tashkinov

Please!

Thank you!
Audacious - Feature #1093 (New): Make the Song Dialog (Qt) window wider by defaulthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10932021-05-07T10:22:34ZArtem S. Tashkinov

By default it's so small, it can't even show the track info fully.
Audacious - Feature #1092 (New): Reread metadata on play optionhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10922021-04-28T18:28:35ZArtem S. Tashkinov

After adding files from the disk Audacious seems to never reread them even if the underlying file and its metadata have changed. That's very inconvenient.

Ways to approach this issue:

Either unconditionally reread and parse them no matter what (OS cache will help anyways)

Reread tags only if file size or file modification time has changed (this will not be reliable but will work for 99.99% of cases)

Audacious - Feature #1091 (New): Built-in lyrics supporthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10912021-04-28T18:24:58ZArtem S. Tashkinov

Built-in lyrics is not standardized but there are several common tags which Audacious could read and present instead of fetching data online, e.g.

Common known tags include:

lyrics

UNSYNCEDLYRICS

Please implement.
Audacious - Support #1085 (Closed): Limit file extensions for the libraryhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10852021-04-10T04:35:36ZArtem S. Tashkinov

My audio library contains not only audio files, but files without an extension and text files.

Audacious opens them all and of course stumbles and spews an error message whenever it starts to play non-audio files.

It would be great if it was possible to specify the list of allowed extensions, e.g.

mp3;wav;flac;m4a;ogg
Audacious - Feature #820 (Closed): Global shortcuts for a Qt versionhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/8202018-08-15T17:02:16ZArtem S. Tashkinov

I wonder why they aren't implemented.
Audacious - Feature #19 (Closed): Allow playlist columns to be resizedhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/192011-12-28T19:51:52ZArtem S. Tashkinov

Currently playlist columns cannot be resized.

Also it will be very nice to have a menu item called "Automatically Resize Playlist Columns" so that Auducaious automatically resized columns to match their contents. If the user decides to resize them, then this menu item should get unticked automatically.
Audacious - Feature #11 (Closed): [gtkui] Queue position and entry number columns are unnecessari...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/112011-12-20T19:12:48ZArtem S. Tashkinov

125 px combined, which is wrong I suppose.

Gtk 2.22 here.
Audacious - Feature #10 (Closed): Allow columns to be draggable to change their orderhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/102011-12-20T19:09:44ZArtem S. Tashkinov

That's it.
