Redmine Audacious - Bug #960 (Rejected): Status icon volume change with scroll doesn't work under Plasma-...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9602020-04-09T20:18:31ZMarcin Kocurmarcin2006@gmail.com

Status icon doesn't react on scrolling with mouse over it (this action should change volume) under Plasma-desktop on both old winamp style interface and Qt. It works just fine on Xfce panel. Using Archlinux packages:
https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/tree/trunk/PKGBUILD?h=packages/audacious
https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/tree/trunk/PKGBUILD?h=packages/audacious-plugins
Audacious - Bug #590 (Rejected): Window positions changing unpredictably after update to 3.7http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/5902015-11-17T14:37:42ZMarcin Kocurmarcin2006@gmail.com

Hello,

after upgrading to 3.7:
[2015-11-13 22:42] [ALPM] upgraded audacious-plugins (3.6.2-2 -> 3.7-1)
[2015-11-13 22:42] [ALPM] upgraded audacious (3.6.2-1 -> 3.7-1)

I can see that playlist and equalizer in GTK winamp like interface are changing positions for values like 50px in totally unpredictable way so one overlays or stands out of another. It happens after closing audacious to tray icon, changing song and redisplaying audacious back.

I found a workaround: simply rename playlist-state file.

That was how the old file looked like: http://wklej.org/id/1846311/
And the new file recreated by audacious: http://wklej.org/id/1846312/

However, when I tried to simulate this problem in order to make a screenshot, I found another issue. I just messed up audacious windows as it is on the screen in attachement. Then I repeated what I wrote above: minimized to icon, changed some songs, reverted back: audacious's windows were messed again in different way.

This may not be an upgrade issue, this may exist since some time. I'm using xfce with composition manager enabled.
Audacious - Bug #512 (Closed): Plugins disabled after upgrading audacious (3.5.2-2 -> 3.6-2)http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/5122015-03-02T17:03:46ZMarcin Kocurmarcin2006@gmail.com

Hello,

I'm using up-to-date Archlinux 64-bit and today I upgraded system which included audacious as well.

[2015-03-02 16:19] [ALPM] upgraded audacious (3.5.2-2 -> 3.6-2)
[2015-03-02 16:19] [ALPM] upgraded audacious-plugins (3.5.2-2 -> 3.6-2)

Issues after update:

1. No sound, no GUI, however I can observe in netstat that audacious connected to the internet radio I listened before update. I also saw in system monitor that it was downloading the stream as usual. Fixed in /home/mk/.config/audacious/config, there was a line:

show_interface=FALSE

I was reporting this once as I remember, I can't understand why audacious would change this value after update. Changed to TRUE and GUI appeared, as well as sound.

2. The GUI appeared was the GTK one, no Winap classic I had previously. Changed in settings, it worked as expected.

3. I had no tray icon after update, I had to enable it in settings, though it was enabled and displayed before update.

If you could please look at those issues and maybe publish a fast bugfix release. Thanks for your great work!
Audacious - Feature #330 (Closed): More precise volume control in winamp classic themehttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/3302013-08-04T15:30:46ZMarcin Kocurmarcin2006@gmail.com

I noticed that while scrolling on audacious's volume icon in GTK interface, the volume gain is graduated every 1%, while in winamp-like interface and on the tray icon, every 2%. I guess this has something to do with winamp's original behavior but it would be just better if audacious had more precise volume control in winamp theme as well (or at least some optional setting for it).

Personally I'm using middle-end headphones with powerful soundcard which are very loud, and audacious's volume control just doesn't work well for me in winamp's theme.
Audacious - Bug #317 (Closed): Tray icon missing after restarting xfce4-panelhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/3172013-07-12T12:39:59ZMarcin Kocurmarcin2006@gmail.com

Audacious is playing music, status icon is enabled, now I'm restarting xfce4 pannel:

dbus-send --session --dest=org.xfce.Panel /org/xfce/Panel org.xfce.Panel.Terminate boolean:'true'

Audacious is still playing music, but there is no tray icon.

This bug exists in version 3.4 but there is no such one in bugtracker.
Audacious - Bug #245 (Closed): Memory corruptionhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/2452013-01-27T12:58:56ZMarcin Kocurmarcin2006@gmail.com

Hey, my audacious recently became to behave strangely. I was using it for few days and it was doing what it supposed to do, however one day after changing a song to a next one, it crashed. When I run it again, I could listen to the track played before, but when I was trying to change the song to any other, audacious core dumped again. So, audacious could play only one song from my playlist without a crash.

I have removed a playlist ~/.config/audacious/playlist.xspf, created a new one and it was fine for few days, until situation described above happened again.

So today I removed ~/.config/audacious/, ~/.local/share/audacious, reinstalled audacious and audacious-plugins and started again (look at the bash input, I set en_US locale:

http://img.koci.net.pl/images/screen213.png
http://pokazywarka.pl/asbfsf/

Again:

http://img.koci.net.pl/images/screen214.png

[mk@linux ~]$ audacious

(process:9429): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
(bootstrap.c:60) [mowgli_init]: mowgli_init() is a deprecated function, provided only for backwards compatibility with Mowgli-1. You should remove it if you no longer support using Mowgli-1.

It seems inspite of this warning, it works. I've reverted LANG variable to default just by closing console tab:
[mk@linux ~]$ echo $LANG
pl_PL.UTF-8

and started over again:

[mk@linux ~]$ audacious
(bootstrap.c:60) [mowgli_init]: mowgli_init() is a deprecated function, provided only for backwards compatibility with Mowgli-1. You should remove it if you no longer support using Mowgli-1.
pulseaudio: Failed to connect to server: Connection refused
Naruszenie ochrony pamięci (core dumped) [in English: memory access violation]

Then I make sure audacious isn't running anymore, removed .config/audacious/lock and started again:

[mk@linux ~]$ audacious
(bootstrap.c:60) [mowgli_init]: mowgli_init() is a deprecated function, provided only for backwards compatibility with Mowgli-1. You should remove it if you no longer support using Mowgli-1.
pulseaudio: Failed to connect to server: Connection refused

Repeating the same gives the same result but without GLib-GObject line.

Over again, with gdb:
http://pokazywarka.pl/l0j0ol/

Again, strace -o strace.log audacious:
http://koci.net.pl/upload/uploads/strace.log

I wish I could be more helpful but I don't exactly know how to debug an app :)
I think it's the same issue as here: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/31774

I use up-to-date Archlinux 64bit.
Audacious - Bug #121 (Rejected): Tray icon not visiblehttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1212012-06-07T13:09:07ZMarcin Kocurmarcin2006@gmail.com

After KDE 4.8.2 > 4.8.3 update there is no tray icon wisible in KDE, although you can use it as well as it was there. So right-click menu works, mouse wheel scroll over works, it takes place between other icons, but the very graphics is not visible.

I removed ~/.config/audacious and checked version 3.2.2 and 3.2.3. It's probably KDE's fault but please, do some workaround :)
