Redmine Audacious - Feature #1160 (Closed): Ogg Opus support for streamshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11602022-03-11T18:09:23ZEnne Eziarc

A while back rainwave.cc switched from Vorbis to Opus for their radio streams, and now Audacious errors out trying to play them.

The debug log says it's assuming vorbis from the application/ogg mimetype, which probably was never correct (contents could also be speex)
Audacious - Bug #1035 (Closed): [meson] qtaudio plugin should be optional, independently of other...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10352020-11-30T15:01:18ZEnne Eziarc

Extremely nitpicky I know, but someone might be happy to avoid the extra dependency.

Disabling it doesn't lose any functionality that Audacious can't already do on its own. QtMM has some OpenAL code but it's not wired up as a backend there, so we unfortunately can't have a cursed jenga tower of audacious->qtmm->openal->jackd.
Audacious - Bug #920 (Closed): meson: fix lame.h detectionhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9202019-11-19T11:40:47ZEnne Eziarc

I think I've ran out of meson bugs to report :)
Audacious - Bug #919 (Closed): meson: sporadic build failures due to missing aud-dbus.hhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9192019-11-19T11:17:05ZEnne Eziarc

With this one-liner I start getting “fatal error: aud-dbus.h: No such file or directory” at -j4 with ccache enabled:

(set -x; for i in {2..10}; do meson setup ./build --wipe && ninja -C build -j$i || break; done)

Patch took a while to figure out (I've never used meson before), but it looks correct now.
Audacious - Bug #917 (Closed): meson: fix path defineshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9172019-11-16T07:44:24ZEnne Eziarc

prefix is set correctly, but never passed down to path defines. This manifests itself as audacious failing to start up under certain conditions, saying it can't find any output plugins because the plugin path is missing the /usr{,/local} at the start.
Audacious - Bug #914 (Closed): meson: icons in 4.0_beta1 are installed to subdirectories named af...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9142019-11-11T03:22:38ZEnne Eziarc

Patch enclosed.
Audacious - Bug #819 (Closed): Playlist search in Qt5 is really slow on huge playlistshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/8192018-08-12T02:13:39ZEnne Eziarc

I've got a playlist with just under 150 thousand entries. In Qt5, each keystroke in the Ctrl+F box freezes the UI for several seconds until the results are whittled down to about 10k or less.

In GTK2 the search is instant, which I can understand for the plain UI (it only does a one-at-a-time search, not the same thing) but it's just as fast in the winamp UI too.
