Redmine Audacious - Bug #1159 (Closed): ffaudio fails to compile with FFmpeg 5.0http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11592022-02-27T20:33:03ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

With FFmpeg 5.0 (shipped meanwhile by Arch Linux), some APIs return const pointers now.
This causes build failures when using "-fpermissive".

When using autoconf 2.70, the command autoreconf and therefore our mkrelease.sh script no longer work.
With older versions the error was only a warning.

When selecting a color with our custom color button,
its background color should be set to the selected result.

This does not work for me on Linux.
I'm using the Arc theme, but also tried others - same issue.
Please see the attached screenshots and a proposed patch.

Recent browser versions of Firefox [1] and Chrome show a warning in login pages with an insecure connection.
And since Let's Encrypt [2] provides free TLS certificates, there is no excuse for not supporting HTTPS.

The command "audacious -j" and "audacious --show-jump-box" are not opening the jump-to-file dialog anymore.

Affected versions are at least 3.6+ with both interfaces.
Audacious - Bug #423 (Closed): Buffering mp3 stream really slow / hanginghttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/4232014-03-28T23:26:47ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Buffering the stream [1] is really slow.
The time for adding the stream is acceptable but not
for resuming with "Continue playback on startup" enabled.

Sometimes it needs more than one minute to start the playback
and meanwhile Audacious cannot be closed safely.

Audacious 3.4 buffers this stream much faster.
Do you have any idea what is the cause for this?

These are the last lines when Audacious is hanging:

Currently the .desktop file has to be translated manually.
It would be nice if it is generated automatically with the translations from a .po file.
All required changes are explained in the tutorial.

http://audacious-media-player.org/

The links in the header like "Home", "Downloads" and "Forums" cannot be opened in a new tab
with CTRL + Left click.

The same applies to "Read more" in the news section.
However the links to bug reports (like #228) are opened within a new tab.
Audacious - Bug #258 (Closed): scrobbler2: Segmentation faulthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/2582013-02-24T00:56:50ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

If the new scrobbler2 plugin is enabled, I get randomly segfaults.
I did nothing except enabling it and playing some audio files.

A backtrace is attached.
Audacious - Feature #131 (Rejected): Canceling "Rename playlist" should be possible with a mouse ...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1312012-06-18T18:54:49ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

At the moment it is only possible to cancel the renaming of a playlist
by pressing either Enter or Escape.

I think it would be nice if this could be also done with a mouse click.
For example by clicking on the menu-/toolbar or in the area next to the notebook.
Audacious - Bug #129 (Closed): audacious-plugins can't be compiled without compiler optimizations...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1292012-06-16T00:42:05ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

I've noticed today that various audacious plugins fail to compile
because NULL is undeclared.
Strangely this is only the case if you disable compiler optimizations.

An example is this error message:

voice_removal.c:58:1: error: 'NULL' undeclared here (not in a function)
Failed to compile voice_removal.c (plugin)!
make5: * [voice_removal.plugin.o] Error 1
make4: [all] Error 2
make3: [subdirs] Error 2
make2: [all] Error 2
make1: [subdirs] Error 2
make: * [all] Error 2

Is it better to include <stddef.h> for every failing plugin
or is it possible to define NULL in config.h?
Audacious - Bug #117 (Closed): cdaudio-ng: Translations are not appliedhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1172012-05-30T18:26:28ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Title says all.
Probably caused by the transition to "PluginPreferences",
although other plugins don't have this issue.

By the way, the category "cdaudio-ng" is missing in this bugtracker.
Audacious - Feature #22 (Closed): German translation updatehttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/222011-12-29T18:27:58ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Now again at 100 percent, thanks for merging.
