Redmine Audacious - Bug #1052 (Closed): Autoreconf no longer working with autoconf 2.70http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10522021-01-10T01:11:54ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

When using autoconf 2.70, the command autoreconf and therefore our mkrelease.sh script no longer work.
With older versions the error was only a warning.

$ autoreconf -I m4
configure.ac: error: AM_GNU_GETTEXT is used, but not AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION or AM_GNU_GETTEXT_REQUIRE_VERSION

Please see the attached patch.
See also: https://github.com/GNOME/libgsf/commit/91027d3447666c6f13c31b4b5984e1a8212983da
Audacious - Bug #1039 (Closed): Compiler warnings with clang 11.0http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/10392020-12-07T14:08:42ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

The recently released Clang 11.0 generates the following compiler warnings for audacious-plugins:

When rewinding songs a segfault occurs if:
- the SoX Resampler plugin is enabled
- the configured sample rate is higher than the actual sample rate of the audio file

Example: Configure the SoX plugin to use 48000 Hz and play audio files with 44100 Hz.

Versions:
- Audacious 4.0
- SoX 14.4.2

Originally this has been reported here:
https://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/boards/1/topics/2497
Audacious - Feature #711 (Closed): Support HTTPS and redirect to it by defaulthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/7112017-03-15T18:41:29ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Recent browser versions of Firefox [1] and Chrome show a warning in login pages with an insecure connection.
And since Let's Encrypt [2] provides free TLS certificates, there is no excuse for not supporting HTTPS.

Several plugins cannot be linked on a i686 system
with the compiler flag "-fstack-protector-strong".

Originally reported on the Arch Linux AUR page.
Reproduced on Arch Linux i686 with g++ 4.9.2.

Affected plugins:
- cairo-spectrum
- gl-spectrum
- statusicon

The error message and config.log are attached.
Audacious - Bug #416 (Closed): Win32: Include translationshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/4162014-03-09T14:19:47ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

The repeat button of the Ivory skin is invisible.
Strangely Osmosis (Ivory inverted) is not affected.

Screenshot attached.
Audacious - Bug #390 (Closed): skins: Seeking does not always stop if button is releasedhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/3902014-01-08T21:43:13ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

If the forward/backward button in the main window
is not released on its own position, seeking never stops.

The only solution in this case is to stop the playback and restart it again.

How to reproduce:
1. Click on the forward/backward button in the main window for a while.
2. Move the mouse cursor away.
3. Release the button.
Audacious - Bug #360 (Closed): Time label shows wrong time if slider is dragged beyond its upper ...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/3602013-10-15T19:13:31ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

If the time slider is dragged beyond its upper limit,
the current time is displayed incorrectly.

I can reproduce this behavior with some ogg files
but not with any mp3 or flac files.

The Winamp interface is also affected.

Attached is a short screen cast and the used test file.
Audacious - Feature #322 (Closed): Generate .desktop file automatically with translations from po...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/3222013-07-24T12:53:41ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Currently the .desktop file has to be translated manually.
It would be nice if it is generated automatically with the translations from a .po file.
All required changes are explained in the tutorial.

[1] https://people.gnome.org/~malcolm/i18n/marking-strings.html#desktop
[2] https://people.gnome.org/~malcolm/i18n/makefile-changes.html
Audacious - Bug #275 (Closed): Website: Some links can't be opened as new tab with CTRL + Left clickhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/2752013-04-06T12:56:01ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

http://audacious-media-player.org/

The links in the header like "Home", "Downloads" and "Forums" cannot be opened in a new tab
with CTRL + Left click.

The same applies to "Read more" in the news section.
However the links to bug reports (like #228) are opened within a new tab.
Audacious - Bug #129 (Closed): audacious-plugins can't be compiled without compiler optimizations...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1292012-06-16T00:42:05ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

I've noticed today that various audacious plugins fail to compile
because NULL is undeclared.
Strangely this is only the case if you disable compiler optimizations.

An example is this error message:

voice_removal.c:58:1: error: 'NULL' undeclared here (not in a function)
Failed to compile voice_removal.c (plugin)!
make5: * [voice_removal.plugin.o] Error 1
make4: [all] Error 2
make3: [subdirs] Error 2
make2: [all] Error 2
make1: [subdirs] Error 2
make: * [all] Error 2

Is it better to include <stddef.h> for every failing plugin
or is it possible to define NULL in config.h?
Audacious - Bug #126 (Rejected): "POT-Creation-Date" and "PO-Revision-Date" are no more updated b...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1262012-06-11T15:20:38ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

This has always worked before but at the moment it is really strange:

- make update-pot works correctly, "POT-Creation-Date" in audacious.pot gets updated.
- make update-po doesn't work correctly, neither "POT-Creation-Date" nor "PO-Revision-Date" gets updated.

As example
"POT-Creation-Date: 2012-06-09 17:57-0400\n"
"PO-Revision-Date: 2012-06-09 21:28+0000\n"
are still from the 9th although I executed update-potfiles.sh, make update-pot and make update-po just now.

For audacious-plugins it is different again:
POT-Creation-Date is up-to-date but PO-Revision-Date isn't.

Could this be fixed please?
Audacious - Feature #22 (Closed): German translation updatehttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/222011-12-29T18:27:58ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de
