Redmine Audacious - Bug #959 (Closed): Window title may state "Buffering ..." erroneouslyhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9592020-04-08T22:19:48ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

The window title of the Qt interface sometimes shows "Buffering ..."
although this is incorrect and the song is already playing for a few seconds.
It is not updated again before another song is played.

How to reproduce:
1. Stop playback
2. Restart Audacious
3. Open multiple audio files (at least three)

Result:
Initially the window title is set correctly in MainWindow::title_change_cb(),
then MainWindow::playback_begin_cb() is called which queues MainWindow::buffering_cb()
where the title is overwritten again to "Buffering ...".
Audacious - Feature #711 (Closed): Support HTTPS and redirect to it by defaulthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/7112017-03-15T18:41:29ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Recent browser versions of Firefox [1] and Chrome show a warning in login pages with an insecure connection.
And since Let's Encrypt [2] provides free TLS certificates, there is no excuse for not supporting HTTPS.

[1] https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Protect-your-privacy/Insecure-password-warning-in-Firefox/ta-p/27861
[2] https://letsencrypt.org/
Audacious - Bug #617 (Closed): audacious -j does not open jump-to-file dialoghttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/6172016-01-14T19:45:20ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

The command "audacious -j" and "audacious --show-jump-box" are not opening the jump-to-file dialog anymore.

Affected versions are at least 3.6+ with both interfaces.
Audacious - Bug #567 (Closed): Sporadical crash when opening URLhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/5672015-08-09T19:46:49ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Audacious 3.7 sometimes crashes when opening this URL: http://www.ex.ua/get/6700053
Version 3.6 shows an error message but does not crash.

The output of "audacious -V" is attached.
If you cannot reproduce it, I will provide a backtrace.
Audacious - Bug #535 (Closed): No sound with 36 kHz Ogg Vorbis file and enabled equalizerhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/5352015-04-25T00:27:25ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

As soon as the equalizer is enabled, there is no sound although the file itself is played usually.

An example file is attached. I have tested 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7-devel, they all show the same behavior.
Audacious - Bug #478 (Closed): skins: Segfault after last title was playedhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/4782014-11-05T02:32:52ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

When the last title was played and "Repeat" is disabled,
a segfault occurs with the Winamp interface.

The backtrace and a patch are attached.
Is the fix correct?
Audacious - Bug #477 (Closed): gtkui: Wrong selection after starting a song by mouse clickhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/4772014-11-04T00:44:32ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Starting any song by mouse click always selects the second entry of the playlist.

It gets the focus as if it was single-clicked.

The clicked song is played though. But the list scrolls to the top which is annoying.
Audacious - Bug #423 (Closed): Buffering mp3 stream really slow / hanginghttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/4232014-03-28T23:26:47ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Buffering the stream [1] is really slow.
The time for adding the stream is acceptable but not
for resuming with "Continue playback on startup" enabled.

Sometimes it needs more than one minute to start the playback
and meanwhile Audacious cannot be closed safely.

Audacious 3.4 buffers this stream much faster.
Do you have any idea what is the cause for this?

These are the last lines when Audacious is hanging:

output.c:383 [output_set_replaygain_info]: Replay Gain info:
output.c:384 [output_set_replaygain_info]: album gain: 1.000000 dB
output.c:385 [output_set_replaygain_info]: album peak: 1.000000
output.c:386 [output_set_replaygain_info]: track gain: 1.000000 dB
output.c:387 [output_set_replaygain_info]: track peak: 1.000000

The filter is not saved at all,
closing the dialog resets the entry.

I have tested Audacious 3.2.4 with GTK2
and this version is fine.

It seems like the behavior changed with GTK3.
Audacious - Bug #275 (Closed): Website: Some links can't be opened as new tab with CTRL + Left clickhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/2752013-04-06T12:56:01ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

http://audacious-media-player.org/

The links in the header like "Home", "Downloads" and "Forums" cannot be opened in a new tab
with CTRL + Left click.

The same applies to "Read more" in the news section.
However the links to bug reports (like #228) are opened within a new tab.
Audacious - Bug #258 (Closed): scrobbler2: Segmentation faulthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/2582013-02-24T00:56:50ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

If the new scrobbler2 plugin is enabled, I get randomly segfaults.
I did nothing except enabling it and playing some audio files.

A backtrace is attached.
Audacious - Bug #154 (Closed): Translation of string is not appliedhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1542012-07-28T22:32:01ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

The string "play multimedia files" which is shown
if you run "audacious --help"
is listed in the po files but the translations are not applied.

https://github.com/audacious-media-player/audacious/blob/master/src/audacious/main.c#L257
Audacious - Feature #131 (Rejected): Canceling "Rename playlist" should be possible with a mouse ...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1312012-06-18T18:54:49ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

At the moment it is only possible to cancel the renaming of a playlist
by pressing either Enter or Escape.

I think it would be nice if this could be also done with a mouse click.
For example by clicking on the menu-/toolbar or in the area next to the notebook.
Audacious - Bug #130 (Closed): Regression: Floating point exception if a file was moved and can't...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1302012-06-16T01:16:06ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

Description:
If audacious can't open a file, a floating point exception occurs.

How to reproduce:
1. Open a single file with audacious
2. Close audacious and move the file to a different location
3. Open audacious again

Expected result:
audacious shows an error dialog like in 3.2

Actual result:
Floating point exception

Relevant audacious -V output:

probe.c:173 [file_find_decoder]: Probing file:///home/thomas/Rising%20of%20the%20Phoenix.ogg.
probe.c:123 [probe_by_scheme]: Probing by scheme.
probe.c:139 [probe_by_extension]: Probing by extension.
probe.c:111 [probe_func_fast]: Guessing Ogg Vorbis Decoder.
probe.c:65 [probe_func]: Trying Ogg Vorbis Decoder.
probe.c:49 [check_opened]: Opening file:///home/thomas/Rising%20of%20the%20Phoenix.ogg.
probe.c:58 [check_opened]: FAILED.
Audacious - Bug #125 (Closed): Opening the preferences window causes a short sound delayhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1252012-06-11T14:57:09ZThomas Langethomas-lange2@gmx.de

If you open the preferences window, there is a short delay in playback.
This is only occurring with 3.3.

audacious -V prints:
effect.c:68 [effect_start]: Starting effects.

Is the delay caused by the effects?
