Redmine Audacious - Bug #1209 (New): Dual play icons in default Audacious Winamp skinhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/12092023-04-11T20:35:32ZManuel Grießmayr

I've a 4K screen and the play icons looks like in attached image. The workaround is easy by simply modifying the source image.
Audacious - Feature #1121 (New): Allow for easy searching through music for data with diacriticshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11212021-08-05T08:06:29ZKamil Bączkowski

I have a lot of music from all over the world, and some artist names include diacritics. Examples my include Sigur Rós, Die Ärzte or Måneskin. I would like to be able to search for those artists without having to remember how to make different diacritics on my keyboard.
For example, searching arzte should show me Die Ärtze, Ros should show Sigur Rós and Maneskin should show Måneskin.
For other projects that do that - I know that Firefox allows for strictly matching text against diacritics when searching, so this maybe could show you how they normalize the data and allow searching it like that.
Audacious - Feature #1119 (New): ADD ability to silence internet radio timeout Error dialog popup http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11192021-07-31T18:36:18ZAllan Laalallan.laal@gmail.com

please add an option to hide these errors:

!!

normally this happens when my connection breaks for a bit and its pretty evident an error happened, since there is no music :)
Audacious - Feature #1116 (New): feature request: miniview mode with QT or GTK interacehttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11162021-07-05T05:04:06ZAndrea Antolinia.antolini@infinito.it

Just an idea about to have a sort of "miniview" mode with QT or GTK interface.

See attached imaage as example..

Should be activated/deactivated by a double click on infobar (and/or using a keyboard shortcut) when it is enabled..

Regards
Andrea
Audacious - Bug #1105 (New): LADSPA host setting menu does not show up with Qt interfacehttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11052021-06-01T12:26:07Zchris denice

With Qt interface:

Go to Settings -> Plug-ins -> Effects -> LADSPA Host.

Now click on the "gear", a blank window appear with only one button "Close". This renders All LADSPA plug-ins unusable as they cannot be selected, neither adjusted.

Everything works fine with the GTK Legacy interface!
Audacious - Feature #1101 (New): Please add media shortcut keys for Windows 10http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11012021-05-22T03:03:50ZGobble Hurbert

Hello, I would like if you can add the ability to let me use the media keys on my keyboard to work on Windows 10.
Windows 10 shows a notification for vol and media keys when pressed on video players and even the browsers. So you can use the keyboard media pause, play, skip and so on. However, with Audacious, it just shows vol and the keyboard media keys do not worth with this software.

So it kinda a pain to press on Audacious and switch or pause a song. Would be much faster if I can just switch well it's minimized.
I use the Winamp Classic Interface with Osmosis layout. SO it just chills open in the corner of my right monitor in the bottom.

Please add this, thanks.
Audacious - Bug #973 (New): "snd_pcm_recover failed" alsa error and "String leaked" warningshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9732020-04-21T17:56:37ZIgor Kushnir

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable Song Change Audacious plugin and set its Command to run at the end of the playlist to:

bash -c "sleep 0.1 && audacious -p -E '/usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav'"

2. Set Audio Output plugin to ALSA Output.
3. Disable all Repeat and Shuffle options in Audacious to let the configured Song Change command run.
4. Quit Audacious and run it from terminal like this:

audacious -p '/usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav'

5. Let Audacious play this short file repeatedly for several minutes. You may want to mute Audacious in pavucontrol.
6. If no errors appear in Audacious output after 10 minutes, try a different sleep interval. I get more than one error per minute with the interval 0.1. But I also get at least one error in less than 10 minutes with intervals 0.01, 0.05, 0.2 and 0.5.
7. Quit Audacious and examine its output. Possible result:

$ audacious -p '/usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav'

8. Expected result: empty output.
9. Note that the String leaked warnings don't appear every time. Perhaps once in three such tests on average.
10. In case you don't have an audio file at the specified path, I'm attaching mine to this bug report. The path to the file shouldn't matter. The bug is not limited to this particular file, but it allows to reproduce the issue with minimum effort due to its short duration.
11. I have reproduced this bug with audacious and audacious-plugins built from current git master: https://github.com/audacious-media-player/audacious/commit/ffd9ac46a43f3fb0e02d06adf382291f82037a16 ; https://github.com/audacious-media-player/audacious-plugins/commit/89b6ab575ec823b67655bea2fbd2dc7429465377 (built both in Debug and Release modes)
Audacious - Feature #956 (New): Stream to chromecasthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9562020-04-08T18:15:53ZJeroen Steenhuis

It would be nice to have a plugin to stream the music directly to a chromecast for using remote speakers (instead of the crappy laptop speakers)
Audacious - Feature #955 (New): Enqueue optionhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9552020-04-08T18:06:29ZJeroen Steenhuis

It would be nice to have an option in Audacious to enqueue songs by default instead of instantly playing them.

I know about the command line option -e
Audacious - Feature #907 (New): QtNetwork-based HTTP clienthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9072019-10-26T13:41:52ZAriadne Conillariadne@dereferenced.org

It would be nice to use the HTTP client built into QtNetwork when the Qt port is enabled, instead of neon. This also removes a dependency in a way, since we depend on Qt either way :)
Audacious - Feature #882 (New): Consider adding vgmstream pluginhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/8822019-03-21T01:51:09ZJarrod Makinjarrod@makin.co

Please consider adding vgmstream as an official plugin
The project's upstream source is https://github.com/losnoco/vgmstream
I have been able to get this working on a Fedora 29 machine with relatively little effort.
Audacious - Feature #875 (New): Extended M3U supporthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/8752019-02-24T10:18:40ZRaitaro Hikami

As described on the wikipedia page for the m3u format: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3U

I need something like this:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:419,Alice in Chains - Rotten Apple
Alice in Chains_Jar of Flies_01_Rotten Apple.mp3

I tried making a quick playlist using youtube-dl. Seems that audacious can use the links given by `-g` option quite well though. The problem is that I would like to have the file name not the url. I usually do something like this:

play=/tmp/playlist.m3u
youtube-dl -g $link >> $play
audacious --qt $play & > /dev/null 2>&1

On the other hand, if I use shorten links, generated by something a bit more complex, but faster (not to mention more readable output):

echo "#EXTM3U" > short.m3u
youtube-dl -j --flat-playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist\?list\=PLURsDaOr8hWWGebP8AGmA3Wu2WAQEHFUc | jq -r '.title, .url' | sed -e '2~2s_^_https://youtu.be/_' -e '1~2s_^_#EXTINF:,_' >> short.m3u

I get something like this:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:,My Chocolate Croissant Was Supposed To Be Perfect...
https://youtu.be/HQeIivIacJc
#EXTINF:,I Learned How To Temper Chocolate... (science included)
https://youtu.be/3-EKcYqKEec
#EXTINF:,I Tried "Sous-Vide" to Temper Chocolate... (best move ever)
https://youtu.be/--KcoWb8ZD4
#EXTINF:,I Designed Custom Chocolate Bars Using Thermoforming...
https://youtu.be/O5SwGr-84c4

The generated playlist seems completely fine on vlc, on audacious on the other hand it simply... well, gives an error: `File format not recognized`
Audacious - Feature #870 (New): View > Show Playlist and View > Show Playback Controlshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/8702019-02-07T16:36:04ZIFo Hancroft

Add the ability to hide the playback controls (search library, open files, add files, play, pause, etc) from the View Menu, just like we can hide the Menu Bar, Status Bar, Info Bar, etc.
Also, the ability to hide the playlist part of the window, via the View Menu.
Audacious - Bug #784 (New): Audio jumps at the start of some tracks when playing CUE+TTA fileshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/7842018-03-31T20:54:31ZNet Helin

Steps to reproduce:

1. Download and play the example file with the attached cue sheet:

https://0x0.st/sMTG.tta (rename to "Fantasia of the Shades, by the Shades, for the Shades.tta")

2. Play the 4th track (you can seek to a few seconds before the end) and play it to the end.

3. When the 5th track starts the audio jumps - a small fragment of the track is played twice.

Happens with Audacious 3.9 and libcue 2.2.0 on Manjaro Linux. Also happens with other files.
Audacious - Bug #196 (New): Wrong channel map when doing surround playbackhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/1962012-10-12T03:10:33ZAdriano Mouraadriano.lols@gmail.com

Seems that Audacious pulseaudio output plugin has never set an appropriate channel map. This little patch will use pa_channel_map_init_auto and assume WAVEEX style channel mapping. Audacious can now properly output any 5.1 file I trow at it.

Before:

sample spec: float32le 6ch 88200Hz
channel map: front-left,front-left-of-center,front-center,front-right,front-right-of-center,rear-center
resample method: copy
module: 6
client: 20094 <Audacious>

Now:

sample spec: float32le 6ch 88200Hz
channel map: front-left,front-right,front-center,lfe,side-left,side-right
Surround 5.1
resample method: copy
module: 6
client: 20114 <Audacious>

For correct 4.0/6.1/7.1 surround mappings you will need some pulseaudio patches, but I'm still working on this. WAVEEX seems to be wrongly implemented in pulseaudio right now.
