Redmine Audacious - Feature #1196 (New): Snap to the bottom of the screen when rolling up player windows ...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11962022-10-10T04:21:31Zr c

Hi

If you have the player in shade mode (rolled up), and press the roll down button, if there is enough room below the player, the player will expand downwards as you'd expect. If there's not enough room below the player, it will expand upwards. This is good, logical behavior.

However, if you have the player at the bottom of the screen and and the player expands up, when you click the "roll up" button to return to shade mode, the player doesn't return to the position where it previously was and you have to manually move it back.

I can't have Audacious at the top of my screen because it blocks my browser tabs, so each time I need to expand the player or playlist and roll it back up, I also have to move it back where it belongs.

See the attached screen recording.

Thank you :)

(In the recording, you will also notice a separate, strange issue where the playlist is drifting to the left and overlapping the player)
Audacious - Feature #1191 (New): More configurable VU meter and spectrum analyzerhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/11912022-09-24T12:44:28Zano nyme

Just an idea about to have a sort of "miniview" mode with QT or GTK interface.

See attached imaage as example..

Should be activated/deactivated by a double click on infobar (and/or using a keyboard shortcut) when it is enabled..

I would like to rework QT global hotkeys plugin to also work on Windows and Mac (does audacious even work on mac)?

I would use this library: https://github.com/Skycoder42/QHotkey

I wrote small PoC in my side and it works, it can be done. The way I used to integrate the library is copy source code files into the repository for QT hotkeys plugin. This way, no additional build / linking step is needed.

If I do the whole rework of plugin by adding this library, do you agree / will the PR be accepted?
Audacious - Feature #998 (New): aacgain in aac / r128 in opushttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9982020-06-17T00:12:59ZMauricio Salinas

Hi,

ReplayGain in .aac files tagged (using aacgain v. 1.9) seems to not being recognized.

It happens as well in files with R128_TRACK_GAIN tag (using opus-tools 0.1.10 and r128gain v1.0.1) in .opus files.

I'm not sure if these two requests should be together: sorry if they shouldn't.

Thanks! Loving the player since years ago!
Audacious - Feature #956 (New): Stream to chromecasthttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9562020-04-08T18:15:53ZJeroen Steenhuis

It would be nice to have a plugin to stream the music directly to a chromecast for using remote speakers (instead of the crappy laptop speakers)
Audacious - Feature #955 (New): Enqueue optionhttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9552020-04-08T18:06:29ZJeroen Steenhuis

Hi there -

I use audacious for rehearsing with song learning tracks where my part is in the left channel and the others are in the right. Audacious is one of the few players i've found with an easily accessible balance control to allow me to fade left or right, so i can practice with different amounts of my part in the mix.

Unfortunately this applies to the classic winamp skin only, not to the newer gtk (or now qt) interface.

I really prefer the newer interface, but i'm unable to use it for this reason. Any chance we could have an option to display a left/right balance control in the newer interface as well? Something hidden behind a button like the volume control would be perfect so it doesn't take up a lot of space, but is readily available when you need it.
Audacious - Feature #943 (New): Being able to add several folders to the library, and arrange tha...http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/9432020-03-21T01:58:46ZAsh Daveson

I love audacious, and I would love being able to import my whole library to the player.
Since it's not possible yet to add several music folders to the library, I tried to symlink every of my music folders to my ~/Music folder, but Audacious won't recognize anything.
Audacious - Feature #877 (New): Please add save option to cue playlists (patch included)http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/8772019-03-07T04:18:19ZJim Turnerturnerjw784@yahoo.com

After working on the extended m3u playlist plugin for issue#875, I decided to try my hand at the cuesheet plugin as well. The included patch adds ability to save playlists to proper .cue format. Only "file" entries are added (warns for non-file urls) and cue-sheet entries are converted to their "AudioFile" value to avoid "recursive" cuesheets embedded in cue files. It seems to work fine to specify "MP3" on the "FILE" line for all entries as it is ignored, except to check for the flag's existance and other values like "OGG", "WAV", etc. cause libcue to throw sintax errors. Please review.

Thanks,

Add the ability to hide the playback controls (search library, open files, add files, play, pause, etc) from the View Menu, just like we can hide the Menu Bar, Status Bar, Info Bar, etc.
Also, the ability to hide the playlist part of the window, via the View Menu.
Audacious - Bug #859 (New): .wsz skins cannot be used on Windowshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/8592019-01-10T05:13:52ZJohn Lindgrenjohn@jlindgren.net

The current scheme uses the external "unzip" program which generally isn't present on Windows.

We could ship an "unzip.exe" along with the Windows build, but it would be better if we could read the .wsz/.zip files directly through the VFS layer, without running an external .exe and creating temporary files on the C: drive.
Audacious - Feature #786 (New): Port global hotkeys plugin to Windowshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/7862018-04-05T08:38:52ZDavyd McColldavydm@gmail.com

As per title, the global hotkeys plugin appears to not be part of the windows build / deployment. Is this something which can be fixed? I know I can use another manager to call the CLI -- it just would be nice not to (:
Audacious - Bug #784 (New): Audio jumps at the start of some tracks when playing CUE+TTA fileshttp://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/7842018-03-31T20:54:31ZNet Helin

Steps to reproduce:

1. Download and play the example file with the attached cue sheet:

https://0x0.st/sMTG.tta (rename to "Fantasia of the Shades, by the Shades, for the Shades.tta")

2. Play the 4th track (you can seek to a few seconds before the end) and play it to the end.

3. When the 5th track starts the audio jumps - a small fragment of the track is played twice.

Happens with Audacious 3.9 and libcue 2.2.0 on Manjaro Linux. Also happens with other files.
