Crash Audacious on activating OpenGL Spectrum Analyzer

Added by Vladimir Smirnov about 1 year ago

Hello! Arch Linux x64, KDE5, up to date.

  1. audacious -V
  2. Go to View - Visualization… - tick OpenGL Spectrum Analyzer
  3. crash
...
INFO plugin-init.cc:277 [enable_multi]: Enabling OpenGL Spectrum Analyzer.
INFO plugin-load.cc:66 [plugin_load]: Loading plugin: /usr/lib/audacious/Visualization/gl-spectrum.so.
INFO visualization.cc:118 [vis_load]: Activating OpenGL Spectrum Analyzer.
The program 'audacious' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
  (Details: serial 60459 error_code 8 request_code 154 minor_code 5)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
WARNING main.cc:319 [main_cleanup]: exit() called unexpectedly; skipping normal cleanup.

Thank you.

This is usually caused by a video driver problem. I've only seen it in VirtualBox.
