Trouble Listening to localhost:8000

Added by JP Farmer over 7 years ago

A rookie question that I have not been able to resolve with Google.

I am running streamripper and trying to listen to the output relayed to localhost:8000.

I am getting: No decoder found for localhost:8000.

It is an mp3 stream that when listened to direct works fine.

How can I get Audacious to play the relayed stream?

Thanks.

Start by updating to the latest version if you haven't already. Run "audacious -V 2> log.txt", try to open your stream, and see if there are any relevant error messages in the log, or post the log file here so we can look at it.

The logging does not seem to be working.

However, I'm on V3.5, the one that is currently available in the Debian repo.

I'll see if I can get updated, I'm just slightly dangerous when it comes to tarballs, etc.

Thanks,
JP.
