Audacious without Red record button

I'm running audacious on linux/raspberry and it's great but i see pictures of the program without the red record button on the control panel (like the pic I attached) and wondered if I could use that version maybe Im asking is there an option for it to be removed or is it simply older versions do not have this feature until it was incorporated, can anyone tell me please?

menu File > Settings > Audio
Recording Settings
[ ] Enable audio stream recording with FileWriter Plugin
