General lyrics plugin

I love audacious because of its minimalism. That being said, I feel that it lacks a general purpose lyric plugin. With atleast the ability to read text lyrics matching the metadata of the song or .lrc files. Also hopefully something that can sync the lyrics (i think Amarok has that). Can someone implement this? I'm willing to implement it myself, but i'd have to familiarize myself with the code.
