adplug up to date?

Recently adplug uses now opl'emulation source code from dosbox.
You can read that on github of adplug.

I noticed when playing opl2 or opl3 music, audacious does not sound the same as dosbox or any player using latest adplug.

Is it'possible audacious is using an older version of adplug?

If yes, could it be updated to latest version?

I solved the problem by choosing the dosbox emulator. As a new user I didn't know this because there are no docs (AFAIK) available for audacious.
