Description

When searching for a song in the Library, and when double clicked, don't add it to current playlist unless dragged.

Possibly add it to a temporary playlist.

Audacious is very much designed around playlists. Playing a song without it being in a playlist would require a lot of redesign. I don't think we'll be supporting that in the near future.

The "Now Playing" playlist is intended to be the "temporary" playlist (in some places, it's still called that). The intent is that you'd use named playlists for any playlists that you care about keeping, and "Now Playing" when you just want to quickly play (or "test play" as you say) a song.
