Description

At some point Audacious added a "feature" where if you hover over a song in the playlist a popup window appears to display the details of the song, the album art, etc.

I find this visually annoying and irritating because it blocks a significant portion of the playlist and provides details I did not specifically request. If I want more information about a song I'll right click it and select "Song Info".

FYI, one of the other annoying aspects to this popup is that as I move my mouse over a variety of windows, particularly on the Windows desktop (as I use Audacious on both Linux and Windows), the popup remains persistent when the focus is clearly another application. This is probably a Windows bug but still quite annoying. I have to hover the mouse in the vicinity of the popup, which is now blocking my other application window, to eliminate it.

Please either remove this redundant "feature" (Song Info works well enough for this purpose) or provide a preference to disable it.

You should always ask on the forum to see if a particular feature exists already before requesting it.

This preference has existed for years:
File -> Settings -> Song Info -> Popup Information -> Show popup information
