Fade on Pause/Stop

Hi,

I really like the Crossfade Plugin in XMMS, which also supports fading sound on pause and stop. I wonder if it's possible to inplement this into the audacious crossfade plugin or some other way.
If anyone knows how to do this or maybe show me some documentation, so I may try this on my own (I hope i's not that difficult), I would appreciate that.

The effect plugin API is too limited to do this currently. It may be possible in the future, but don't hold your breath.
