Why are there two mains?

I need to make a tweak to the Audacious window so that it fits neatly inside Adafruit's 2.8 PiTFT display with nothing off-screen and notice that there are two mains: main.c and main.cc.

Why are there two mains?

The one in the audtool folder is for audtool.
