multiple display of URL

When I access an URL by selecting "Open URL" or "Add URL", the URL is displayed three times in the big window.

Is this a bug, or a feature? If feature, what is the intention?

Is it an M3U playlist? I've seen some streaming sites serve M3U playlists that have multiple entries for different streaming servers. My guess is that it's a backup mechanism in case one server goes offline, but I agree that it's not the best approach.

Seems to happen only at some (one?) radio station.
Happens for: http://streams.br.de/bayern2sued_2.m3u
not for: http://streams2.kqed.org:80/kqedradio

BTW.: audacious seems to start much faster than rhythmbox, both under Ubuntu 16.04.3
