Want to add music files on network places; Windows version
Added by Tetsuji Rai almost 7 years ago
Hi all,
As for Windows version, I want it to support music files on network-connected computers. By doing so, it becomes possible to put music files only on one computer and play music files on any computers at home.
On linux or Unix-like systems, nfs feature is supported, but Windows 10 only has NFS Client in Professional edition. Enterprise edition has NFS server ability, but enterprise edition is rare and not usually used. The best I can do is to use free nfs server....

You can set up an SMB share, hosted on either Windows or Linux server, and then mount it with a local drive letter on a Windows client. That will be the easiest way to play networked files within Audacious.
