Audacious 4.0 Winamp Classic opening files change

i am using Audacious with the Winamp Classic interface and i believe before 4.0 there was a single "Open Files" option (with shortcut "L") for opening either files or folders. now they are separate so i have to choose beforehand what do i want to open (not later on browsing my music directory). funnily enough, the old behavior was different from the actual Winamp i remember and i considered it vastly superior.

what was the rationale behind making this change?

It's a Qt thing; the program has to tell the file selection dialog whether to select file(s) or a folder beforehand.

I agree with you in preferring a single dialog that does both. We just couldn't find a way to get that to work with Qt.
