scroll playlist one line at a time?

Added by Eric B about 3 years ago

Hi everyone. Brand new Kubuntu user here, just switched this week and installed Audacious. It's a great audio player, but I'm wondering if there's a way to change how many lines are scrolled when using the mouse wheel. In Winamp you can set it to whatever you like, but Audacious is scrolling five lines at a time, which is too many for me.

Is there a way to set Audacious to only scroll one line at a time in the playlist?

Please make your instructions so obvious a 3 year old can follow them. I'm not stupid, but I am new. :) Thanks for your help.

Oh, I just noticed I didn't put anything about what I'm running. I'm on Kubuntu 21.10 with Audacious 4.0.5 installed.

RE: scroll playlist one line at a time? Repeat song only? - Added by Eric B about 3 years ago

I'm betting that this will have me messing with config files, assuming there is a solution at all. Since I'll be in there anyway, is there a way to set a song to repeat instead of the whole playlist? I found the A-B repeat, and I'm guessing that the only way to repeat song is to set the A while the song is paused before the song has started. Is that the only way, or is there a way to set repeat song only?

Thanks again.

If you enable both "Repeat" and "No Playlist Advance" (in the Playback menu) then the single song will repeat.

I'm not sure about changing the number of lines the mouse wheel scrolls. I think Qt decides that, so maybe there's a KDE setting for it?

Oh, repeat and no playlist advance. That sounds like a much better idea than A-B repeats, 'cause you have to set those at the beginning of the song or else it doesn't happen.

Thanks, John!
