Feature request: Stop playing after...

Added by Andre Jonas over 12 years ago

Hey guys,

something that I really miss in Audacious is the ability to place a kind of stop marker anywhere in a playlist, like it is possible in Clementine/Amarok. There is a »Stop after current track«-Option, but it only works, well, for the current track and it stays active after the playing stopped, so I always have to remember to deactivate it after stopping this one time.

(Alternativly or maybe even complementary, an option to stop playing after the last track of the current album would be nice.)

Would it be possible to implement this?

Hmm, not really. Maybe I was a bit unspecific with what I need that option for: I mostly listen to an album as a whole, so I look it up in one of the playlists and start playing – but I have to stop manually after the last track of the current album, otherwise the next one in the list will start.

Using the »stop after current song«-option would mean to wait for the last album track and to disable it again, afterwards. Another option would be to put the album to the end of the list or into a new playlist, but this gets annoying when dealing with big playlists (because of the scrolling) and makes it impossible to keep them sorted.

For listening to a single album, have you tried the Search Tool?
