Are there any additional plugins that can be downloaded?

Added by Jonathan Archer almost 3 years ago

I know Audacious has a package named "audacious-plugins" but I'm wondering if there are any additional plugins that can be downloaded manually? I'm looking for playlist plugins in particular - plugins that can display the playlist file name somewhere in the playlist field of the GTK view.

This should work in recent GIT (post Feature #1129/commit# 59aa291 of 11/12/21): The playlist's filename (minus the extention) is displayed in the tab by default IF the playlist does not have a playlist title specified (some but not all playlist formats provide for specifying a playlist title (separate from track titles)). It seems to work (for me) in all interfaces.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, I just realized that I failed to address the 1st part of your query. To wit I don't know a/b other plugins (Google is your friend), I know there used to be a few, such as "audacious-plugins-extra", or something like that, but for much earlier Aud versions (Aud has changed things in their plugin interface over time and/or obsoleting or merging them. Plugins in Audacious are and require tight integration with Audacious proper (and you'd likely have to compile and install them manually yourself against your current Audacious source), but there may be some out there, but I'm not aware of them as Audacious supports just a/b everything out there. Is there a particular playlist format that's lacking / not working as you desire (NOTE: The ones that support titles, you can remove the title if you just want the file-name shown in the playlist tab)? Let me know.
