Audacious autostarts when any usb-drive is inserted
Added by Max Minenko over 9 years ago
On Debian 8 whenever I insert any usb device (usb-stick, ereader, etc.) Audacious autostarts and tries to play media. Even if it's video files -- it still plays the audio from them. :) Funny, but annoying.
When I turn automounting for usb devices off, Audacious autostarts when I mount them manually. :)

This is a long-standing bug in multiple Linux desktops. If it annoys you, please push to have it fixed since we are sick of hearing complaints about it.

I think it would be a good idea if this problem is listed under http://audacious-media-player.org/problems.

Any way to fix it? Maybe even by some ugly hacks? ...

You need to set a file manager for the mimetype "inode/directory".
Example for Thunar:
$ xdg-mime default Thunar.desktop inode/directory
