DISABLE multiple instances?

Added by Anonymous about 12 years ago

Hello,

I recently found this player and it would be a great replacement for Winamp but... Well, as of now, it's really unusable for me. For every time I double click on a audio file it opens up a new player (so right now I would be forced to drag and drop). If you do it too many times, you end up with like five players - all playing simultaneously.

If you haven't guessed, I'm using Windows 7.

Thanks in advance!

For now there is no inter-process communication in the Windows version, sorry.

Hi John,

I have the same question. This player is great and currently I am testing it on my laptop for couple of weeks, but one issue is when I double clicked on each of mp3 files in my album and system (Win wista) will create so many instances of Audacious. Is it possible to implement an option to disable multiple instances?

Thanks

Dusan

Hi Dusan,

I have the same answer. Interprocess communication has not been implemented in the Windows version.

Hello friends,
yesterday I posted some stuff in Bug #147 about this topic.

Sincerely,

Carlo Bramini.
