Debian / Jack / Audacious 4.0: crash when attempting forward inside a track, with soxr resampling.

Added by Fabien Motta about 4 years ago

Hello,

I cannot go forward or directly at a specific time with the forward button or the slidebar.

I am running a Debian unstable with RT kernel, Jack audio, and the last Audacious version in the repo (and the Winamp interface).

After testing with several files, it seems to happen with 44.1 kHz sampled files, which are resampled at 48 kHz to feed the Jack output, and with the sox resampler only. It works with the other resampler (libsamplerate ? I thought it was deprecated).

I was able to reproduce the crash as well. It has nothing to do with Jack since it occurs also with PulseAudio here.

The proper way to report bugs like this is creating an issue.
I have done that now, see https://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/950.
