windows QT test version
Since I'm not a developer and also can't compile my own windows version, I was wondering: are there windows versions compiled with QT (that still have the font problem inside) so I can test it?
So like developer test versions? I wouldn't mind if the font problem is not occuring on my PC. At least I would have the new GUI! (I'm no Linux user)

At some point, I am planning on setting up GitHub actions to produce nightly builds for Windows using GTK and Qt toolkits. Once that is done, we will announce it on the website. I can't provide an ETA for this at the moment as I have limited time to work on this right now.

I would be happy with a windows QT version even if the "font problem" is still in there. Who knows it doesn't occur on my PC.
Not everybody is on Linux

We really do need someone to help out and invest some time into making the Windows build process easier. As a first step, an automated script that could be left running (probably overnight) on a local machine to download and build all the dependencies would be a huge help.
I can't continue to be the only one (as far as I know) with a working Windows development environment, and I'm not going to start providing test builds on request. Someone else needs to step up and invest some effort here, if Windows is going to continue to be a supported platform.

Please don't drop windows support!
Players that are consuming little resources, and support so many formats are hard to find on windows.

Windows enablement is one of the reasons why I started working on adapting the tree to use Meson. As previously stated, my plan is to just have Github Actions deliver windows artifacts as part of CI. Should be done next month.
