Icons aren't displayed in Qt interface
Added by Heron Silva over 2 years ago
Hello. I installed Audacious on Fedora 36 beta (Gnome 42 desktop), it plays the audios normally but does not display the search, open/add files and other icons below the menu bar in the Qt interface:
Is there any workaround for this or is it an Audacious bug?

It's not a bug; you haven't set up an icon theme correctly. What icon theme are you trying to use?

Also, do you have Qt's SVG module installed? It should be a dependency of Audacious and installed automatically. If it's not a dependency, please file a report with Fedora to update their packaging.

That is highly questionable Qt 5 packaging. Since if compiling Audacious from source, nothing will pull in a separate "qt5-qtsvg" package. None of the build requirements, none of the runtime requirements either (such as automatic library dependencies). And there's no warning when launching Audacious in a terminal.
To add a manual dependency to the Audacious package is a work-around, but only for those installing the rpms.
