FLAC plugin fails on windows 8 and 8.1

I noticed the bug #523 for the versions 3.6.2a and 3.7beta1. The crash frequently appears when the mouse pointer moves to the position of a flac file. When the flac decoder is disabled no crash appears. In the current moment we are going to redistribute Audacious with our hardware. Is it possible to disable the flac plugin by default?

Bug #523 was fixed already. If you are seeing a crash, it is a new bug and you should open a new report with detailed information about it.

The bug is very unstable. Now I can't reproduce it, should I open a new report anyway?

No, work on figuring out what triggers it first. Particular files, particular commands (seeking etc.) If possible, run Audacious from a debugger whenever you use it; then you can capture a backtrace whenever it does crash again.
